DRLock® Volar Plate and Screw System

The DRLock System is a series of implantable bone fixation plates, pegs and screws. Its intended use is to stabilize and aid in the fusion of fractures and osteotomies involving the distal radius. The system includes plates for both the left and right wrist in three different size lengths: short, standard, long. 

The plates are anatomically contoured to provide an improved fit to the surface of the distal radius. The plate design allows surgeons multi-planar fixation never seen before in a distal radius plate. Stainless steel construction provides optimal stability while reducing the chance of tendon adhesion. The plate incorporates both locking and non-locking capabilities in the proximal portion, allowing the surgeon to make the correct choice per application. DRLock Screws offer a blunt tip to reduce tendon irritation, while the tapered ID in the first three threads provides added strength with reduced stress to the screw head.
