MaxLock Extreme Screws
The hybrid screws have a smaller pitch, similar to a cortical screw and outer-inner diameter ratio that is larger, similar to a cancellous screw. The result is increased pull-out strength. The screws also have a tapered inner diameter just below the first few threads to increase the bending strength. Along with being blunt tip and self-tapping, the screws also have a HexStar® drive designed to maximize the surface contact of the driving mechanism and reduceing the chance of stripping. Available in 2.7, 3.5, 4.0 non-locking diameters and 3.5 locking diameter.
